SOL 8298-3K15-00 DUE 080700 POC Jeannette Davies, Contracting Officer, 301-504-1173 Solicitation Notice -- This project is for Phases 5&6 of a seven-phase program where phases three through seven are for the total renovation of the Chemical Wing of the USDA, ARS, Eastern Regional Research Center (ERRC), located at 600 East Mermaid Lane, Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania. Phase 5 will comprise 12,000 square feet, with the sequential Phase 6 comprising 16,400 square feet. The project involves the complete renovation of existing laboratory, office, and support space, and consists of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and communication. The mechanical work includes complete replacement of existing controls with computer-based control of the building, HVAC, and other functions. The estimated price range for both Phases 5&6 is between $5 million and $10 million. Completion time is to consist of 12 months for Phase 5, followed by a 2-month period to relocate personnel and equipment, followed by 12 months for Phase 6, for a total of 26 months. A Pre-Bid Conference will be scheduled.
