The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) will be releasing a solicitation in the July 2000 timeframe with an early September 2000 response date for Supply Operations Support including, but not limited to, the following functional areas: Receipt, Delivery, Storage, Warehousing, Receipt Control, Packing, Crating and Shipping, Disposal of Excess and Scrap Property and management of the NSWCDD's Custody Storage Program. Contractor support shall be provided through use of Government furnished office space and related warehousing facilities and associated Government Furnished Equipment except that the contractor shall be required to provide their own vehicles (forklifts, trucks and vans for deliveries, etc.). Award will be made to the offeror providing the best overall value to the Government. Related evaluation criteria will be included in the solicitation. A site-visit will be scheduled between solicitation issuance and closing date to permit offerors the opportunity to visit the NSWCDDfacility. In order to be considered for award, you must be actively registered in the Contractor Central Registration (CCR). Registration may be done by assessing the CCR Web site at http://www.ccr2000.com. A paper registration may be obtained from the DoD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1(888)227-2423. Past performance information which indicates experience with an operation of similar size and scope will be requested. The resulting contract will include Service Contract Act provisions and related wage determination minimum wage and fringe rates. Current support is provided through NSWCDD Contract N00178-96-C-2038 with a period of performance which ends the end of the month of February 2001.
