H -- Analysis of SSA's Water Treatment Program SOL SSA-RFQ-00-0298 DUE 071000 POC Dorothy Wilson Tel: (410) 965-8083 The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires the services of a contractor to provide all labor, materials and supervision to independently oversee and monitor the water treatment program at the SSA Metro West Building in Baltimore, MD. The contractor shall perform extensive water testing to track various water parameters and provide consulting services to effectively monitor the progress of the water treatment program at this facility. The contractor will not be required to supply water treatment chemicals. The contractor shall also be independent of any water treatment chemical or equipment supplier. The contractor shall also be responsible for any and all laboratory analysis. The term of the contract shall be a base period of one year and four 1-year option periods with an expected start date of or about 090100. This acquisition will be subject to Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) regarding the acquisition of commercial items and to FAR Part 13.5 regarding the application of special simplified acquisition procedures for certain commercial items. SIC code 3823 applies to this solicitation. The acquisition will also be subject to the conditions of the Service Contract Act. The resultant contract will be a firm, fixed-price contract.
