Potential Sources Sought: The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center is seeking qualified sources that can provide the inspection, overhaul, testing, packaging, and shipping of the following Twin Disc reduction gears: Twin Disc MG-507 for 49_ BUSL vessels, NSN 2010-01-450-8801; Twin Disc MG-509 for 41_ UTB vessels, NSN 3010-01-047-2577; Twin Disc MG-521 for 75' WLIC vessels, NSN 3010-01-058-0117; Twin Disc MG-540 for 160' WLIC vessels, NSN 3010-01-088-3782; Twin Disc MG-514 for 55' ANB vessels, NSN 3010-01-127-6490; and Twin Disc MG-518 for 82' WPB vessels, NSN 3010-01-348-9756. It is the Government's belief that only Twin Disc or their authorized distributors can furnish the required parts and ensure the proper fit, form and function of all its components. However, other potential sources with the expertise and required capabilities to furnish other than Twin Disc parts can submit such data discussing the same in duplicate within 15 days from the date of this announcement. The following information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of the offered replacement parts: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered replacement parts (i.e. Salient physical, functional, and serviceability characteristics, or 2) Data that the offered replacement parts have been satisfactorily provided to the Government or the original equipment manufacturer. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the proposal relative to the above requirements. No cost or pricing data is required. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION.
