The Gila River Indian Community (GRIC) is requesting sealed bids from General Contractors for the construction of 2.50 miles road, located on the Gila River Indian Community Reservation in Sacaton, Arizona in Pinal County. This 2.50 miles road project on Pear, Bluebird and Seed Farm Road consists of grading and surfacing. This project requires approximately 11,000 cy excavation, 21,000 cy borrow, 15,500 tons aggregate base, 13,000 tons asphalt concrete, 13,500 L.f. portland concrete curband gutter, 1,500 sy concrete sidewalk, 1,800 L.f. of various sizes CSP, pavement marking, 300 raised pavement marking and other miscellaneous items. This project duration is 105 calendar days, with estimated start date on July 24, 2000. Price range is 1,200,000 to 2,000,000. Bidding documents will be available after May 2, 2000 including Plans and Specifications which may be purchased by making payment of $100 (non-refundable) to the Tribal Cashier located in the Tribal Council Ke building, on the southwest corner ofPima and Main Streets, in Sacaton, Arizona. Bid documents may then be picked up at the P-MIP Construction Office Located at 192-A South Route "A" Street, Sacaton, Arizona. There will be a Pre-Bid Conference on May 16, 2000 at 9:00 AM at the P-MIP Project Office. Bids are due on May 25, 2000 at 2:00 PM (MST) and shall be returned in sealed envelope clearly marked "GRIC Consolidated No. 1" to Connie Huenergardt at P.O. Box 97, 315 West Casa Blanca road, Sacaton, Arizona. Bid opening will be at 2:30 PM, following closing time, at P-MIP Project Office. Each bid shall be accompanied by a 10% Bid Bond, 100% Performance Bond and 50% Payment Bond. All bidders are to comply with GRIC regulations and policies, including Community member preference in employment and Indian-owned business preference as established by GRIC.
