Carrier Engineering Maintenance Assist Team (CEMAT) provides engineering and technical services to the ship's force personnel on board CV/CVN's and the associated battle group vessels in support of NAVSEADET PERA (CV). Services consist of "hands-on" training and instruction in the safe application of current methods, tools, and techniques used in the diagnosis, fault isolation, repair, functional check,operational test, and final adjustment of specific hull, mechanical, and electrical (HM&E) systems and equipment. Primary focus is to improve ship's force ability to successfully perform preventative and corrective maintenance, install minor upgrades, and document system/component material condition. Complex or extensive repairs beyond ship's force scope are screened to intermediate or depot level maintenance activities. Contract type will be an Indefinite Quantity, Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee type, with delivery order provisions. The performance period is for a base period of 12 months with four one year option periods. Source Selection will be based upon the offer providing the "greatest value" to the Government price and other factors considered. The applicable Standard Industry Code is 8711.
