The Federal Prison Camp, Duluth, Minnesota is soliciting for Guard Services for federal prisoners that require admission at Duluth area hospitals or other medical treatments/appointments. Services are advertised as full and open competition. This action's Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 7381. Contractor employees must have two years of guard duty experience related to prisoners/detainees or may substitute/augment bonafide training by having completed at least the first year of post secondary training in Corrections, Police/Law Enforcement Science, provided there is continued enrollment in the program. Services will be provided at Duluth, Minnesota area hospitals who provide services to the Federal Prison Camp. Services will be required for a one year base period, with four one-year option periods for a total of sixty months from the date of award. The estimated quantity of hours for each twelve month period of the contract is two-thousand and forty for year one, and two-thousand-four hundred and forty for the final year. A gradual increase of annual contract hours is due to an expected inmate population increase over the next five years. Anticipated award date for base year of contract is December 30, 1999.
