R -- SCDAP CODE MAINTENANCE POC Stephen Pool, 301-415-8168 The NRC is intends to negotiate a sole source contract modification to Contract No. NRC-04-97-039 with Scientech, Inc. to perform SCDAP code maintenance. This action is being pursued on a sole source basis because Scientech is currently the only known commercial firm who has the technical experience and expertise to perform this SCDAP code maintenance for the NRC and its code users. This contract modification would run concurrently with the performance period of Contract No. NRC-04-97-039 which has performance option periods through April 23, 2002. See numbered note no. 22.
