Washington (202) 305-4607 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quotations (RFQ). Immigration & Naturalization Service (INS) requires hotel accommodations in Lee's Summit, Missouri for training during November 8, 1999 through January 31, 2000. Specific accommodations include three(3) training rooms; one(1) large conference room; and 25 lodging rooms for approximately eighty-one nights. Room accommodations include ten(10) rooms from November 8, 1999 to January 8, 2000; fifteen(15) rooms from January 9, 2000 to January 28, 2000 and two(2) handicap accessible rooms. The training rooms must hold a capacity of at least 20 persons and one(1) training room must be able to equip twenty-one(21) computer stations for at least three(3) weeks. Upon request, be able to provide training rooms with three(3) computer projection systems, three(3)screens, an easel, three(3) television sets, and three(3) VCRs. Also provide office space with three desks. Provide a storage room of at least 20 feet x 20 feet for supplies as well as parking accommodations. All spaces used by INS must be secured when not in use. The conference room must be large enough to accommodate at least seventy(70) persons and is needed for only November 8, 9, 12, 24 and 26, 1999. Shuttle services are requested. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 7011. Should there be two(2) or more responsive and responsible Small Business offerors, this procurement would then be set aside for small business. This solicitation document and its incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. The provisions FAR 52.212-Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (Aug 1998) and FAR 52.212-4-Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items (Apr 1998) apply to this acquisition. The Contractor agrees to comply with the FAR clauses in this paragraph (b) which the contracting officer has indicated as being incorporated in this contract by reference to implement provisions of law or executive orders applicable to acquisitions of commercial items or components: 52.222-21, Prohibition of Segregated Facilities (Feb 1999). 52.222-26, Equal Opportunity (E.O.11246). 52.222-35, Affirmative Action for Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era (38 U.S.C.4212). 52.222-36, Affirmative Action for Workers with Disabilities (29 U.S.C.793). 52.222-37, Employment Reports on Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era (38 U.S.C.4212).
