402-437-5405 Work on the Worley Emergency Watershed Protection Site,
DSR No. O-1, consists of repair of approximately 1700 feet along the
Arkansas River bank on the south side of the river, just west of La
Junta in Otero County, Colorado. Work includes installation of Kellner
jacks and approximately 4,858 tons of rock riprap. Items of work also
include approximately 1.5 acres of seeding, geotextile, approximately
24 concrete anchors, 6,925 linear feet mainline cable and 159 jacks.
Estimated price range is between $250,000 and $500,000. All work is to
be completed within seventy (70) calendar days after receipt of notice
to proceed with work. Successful bidder must be able to provide
applicable performance and payment security within five (5) calendar
days after award of contract. Work shall commence within five (5)
calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to
proceed with work. Successful contractor shall perform on the site, and
with its own organization, work equivalent to at least 50 percent of
the total amount of work to be performed under the contract.
