402-437-5405 Work on the Emergency Watershed Protection DSR No. EP-4,
City of Fountain Power consists of bank slope protection that includes
approximately 550 linear feet of bank sloping, installation of low
flow rock jetties and approximately 3,700 tons of rock riprap. Site is
located 1/4 mile south of KOA campground south of Colorado Springs, 1
mile south of Exit 132 on the east side of I-25 along Fountain Creek
in El Paso County, Colorado. Estimated price range is between $100,000
and $250,000. Assume notice to proceed to be issued by November 22,
1999. All work is to be completed no later than December 18, 1999.
Successful bidder must be able to provide applicable performance and
payment security within five (5) calendar days after award of contract
to assure issuance of the notice to proceed with work by November 22,
1999. Work shall commence within six (6) calendar days after the date
the Contractor receives the notice to proceed. Successful contractor
shall perform on the site, and with its own organization,work
equivalent to at least 50 percent of the total amount of work to be
performed under the contract. Prospective bidders are to fax their
