This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation no. F2660099Q0444 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. Solicitation is unrestricted. The SIC for this solicitation is 3827. This is a single source requirement in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) and we intend to award a purchase order to ITT Night Vision 7635 Plantation RD., Roanoke, VA 24019. The requirement is as follows: Non-personal service to provide all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities and transportation necessary to upgrade 9 -- ITT F4949C Night Vision Goggles to Omni IV with (2) F9800N Image Intensifiers, (2) Leaky Green objective lens assemblies, and (2) 25mm Eyepieces. An individual from the using activity shall be allowed to oversee the selection of Image Intensifier lenses, by visiting the manufacturing plant. ITT Night Vision is the manufacturer and the only known source to fulfill this requirement. This is the only line item in this solicitation. Quotations should be firm fixed price that includes all costs necessary to perform the services. RFQ will be issued on or about 16 Aug 99 and the estimated award date is 20 Aug 99. Responsible sources are invited to participate.
