D -- ENGINEERING TEST AND EVALUATION FOR NMCS COMMAND CENTERS SYSTEM SOL DCA100-99-R-4011 DUE 091499 POC Virginia Greene, Contract Specialist (703) 607-6915 or Charlotte Hunter, Contracting Officer (703) 607-6892 The Defense Information Systems Agency/Joint Interoperability and Engineering Organization (DISA/JIEO) intends to issue a competitive Request for Proposals under SIC Code 8711 ($2.5M), to provide technical support for accomplishing DISA/JIEO's engineering test and evaluation (ET&E) mission to sustain and improve the Department of Defense's (DoD) Command, Control, Communications, Computer, and Intelligence (C4I) operational readiness, warfighting, and crisis management capabilities through evolutionary enhancement of the National Military Command System (NMCS) command centers. The scope of the effort involves the full spectrum of engineering test and evaluation for the command centers and crisis management facilities that support the NMCS. Emphasis will be on the test and evaluation of new capabilities to determine the range of tasks and spans several disciplines, including command and control, facilities, communications, airborne platforms, and information systems. The ET&E support to be provided is for an initial period of twelve (12) calendar months and may be extended, by suitable Government modification of the contract, to a total contract term not to exceed five (5) years.
