The Department of Veterans Affairs' (VA) Dental User Group is currently in the process of standardizing dental products purchased by VA. Also, the group is currently conducting market research to determine the feasibility of one contractor providing a broad range of dental products as a Prime Distributor. As part of this research, the Dental User Group is requesting that all interested vendors make preliminary presentations on September 22, 1999, at Hines, Illinois. The presentations should last no more 20 minutes, which will be immediately followed a 15-20 minute question and answer period. The topics the participating vendors should cover are: (1) National Distribution capabilities. (2) Delivery time & fill rates. (3) Electronic ordering capabilities and interaction with the VA's software. A) Fill rate. B) Delivery schedule. C) Status of product availability. D) Reports -- Detailed procurement history. E) Credit card / EDI capability. F) Detailed transaction of ordering process. G) UPN cabability. (4) Product Line (Catalogs suggested). (5) Past experiences.
