The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals/bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) #FBICU9949, the provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular #97-12. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is unrestricted. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 7375. This will be a Firm-Fixed price contract. The Government intends to negotiate, with Western Identification Networks, Incorporated, 9845 Horn Road, Suite 300, Sacramento, CA, for monthly recurring charges for conducting WIN searches. This extends the service through 9/30/99. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals that clearly demonstrate the ability to meet the needs of the Government which received within 15 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
