The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, Soybean Laboratory at Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN has the requirement to Reroof the Soybean Laboratory. The work includes but is not limited to: remove existing metal roof (lower roof), remove damaged insulation, replace with new insulation (approx. 100SF), remove insulation above office areas and replace with 6" fiberglass; remove existing gutters and down spouts from lower roof and replace with new; extend and flash furnace and soil vents (3); remove and sheet over old furnace vent. Provide bracing and sheathing below metal; provide new counter flashing at the roof height change. The Magnitude of Construction is estimated between $25,000 and $100,000. The period of performance will be 120 calendar days after receipt of a Notice to Proceed. Notice to Proceed anticipated to be issued end of September/early October. Payment Bond or approved alternative payment protection shall be required. The solicitation will be issued as Request for Quotation No. 5114-9-3130 and will be available on or about August 10, 1999, with quotations to be received not later than the Close of Business (4:00 p.m (CST)), September 8, 1999.
