Department of Veterans Affairs, Medical Center, Salt Lake City, UT anticipates a firm fixed price construction contract to furnish and install 6" ductile iron water line from 10" main east of Building 27 to Building 27 tie on to existing 10" c.i. water line for make-up water to cooling towers. Work to include excavation, backfill, concrete removal and replacement, replacing damaged lawn with new sod. Also furnishing and installing a 4" water line from the point of entry to the building to the sump for the towers. Work to include a 4" water meter, 4" two way 120 volt electrical control valve, a 1" manual drain valve downstream from the control valve and a 4" by-pass around the control valve and meter, including electrical wiring and hook-up of existing controls, making existing fill valve as a emergency low water fill. Water meter must have a 4 to 20 ma output so it can be connected to the energy management system. Shut off valve at tackoff of 10" water main. Issue date on or about 5 August 1999.
