70 -- DESKTOP WORKSTATION CONTRACT EXTENSION The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) anticipates modifying existing Contract 50-PAPT-6-00041 with Dovala, Urbanscik and Larson (DUL) for PTO's desktop workstations to extend the period of performance for four, three-month option periods beginning on August 23, 1999. The contract extension is to provide for continuity of products and continuation of services pending the completion of the competitive, follow-on procurement, and will be in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source can satisfy the requirement. No solicitation document will be issued for the extension. The follow-on desktop workstation acquisition is currently in process.
