J -- MAINTENANCE SUPPORT SERVICE OF MALAYSIAN STANDARD ENGINE TEST SYSTEM (SETS) SOL N68335-99-R-0291 DUE 080599 POC Ms. Cindy Rolenc, Contract Specialist,phone(732) 323-2408; fax (732) 323-2908 The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst intends to negotiate, on a non-competitive basis, with Aero Systems Engineering, St. Paul, MN for providing support services related to operation, maintenance, repair, and calibration of the Standard Engine Test Set A/E37T-36 SETS facility in Butterworth, Malaysia. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This firm is considered the only supplier of these services for which they have proprietary rights to the operating software. The requirement calls for Aero Systems Engineering to provide technical/on-site/on-call support to include: (1) ASE Equipment training, (2) Preventative Maintenance, (3) Corrective Maintenance Training, (4) Fault Isolation/ Troubleshooting, and (5) Quarterly System and Component Calibration. The performance period will be over the course of twelve months. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intentis not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Posted 07/21/99 (W-SN356953).
