The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) requires a contractor to provide proficiency testing for analytes performed in the clinical laboratory an outpatient clinics. The contractor must be able to provide challenges for all VA laboratories regardless of where they are located. The contractor will itemize analytes availability and costs. Challenges can be initially ordered and there can be two changes during the course of the yearly contract. Order confirmations will be sent to the laboratory, Pathology Regional Commissioner's Office and the Headquarters Diagnostic Service's Office. The contractor will provide the results of the proficiency testing to VA national headquarters, Enforcement Office, the appropriate Regional Commissioner's office and the laboratory. The results must be received within 60 days. Changes in address or location of either laboratories, clinics or offices reports will be implemented within 14 calendar days. SIC is 8071, $5 Million.
