F -- TREE PLANTING IN FULTON, HICKMAN, AND UNION COUNTIES, KENTUCKY SOL NRCS-14-KY-99 DUE 081599 POC Mark P. The planting of tree seedlings at sites in Hickman, Fulton, and Union Counties, Kentucky, involves the planting of bare-rooted tree seedlings on three sites. Separate offers will be accepted on each site under this solicitation. The Fulton County site is approximately 24 acres; the Hickman County site is approximately 138 acres; and the Union County site is approximately 39 acres. Site preparation will be required on some fields. Tree seedlings are a mix of trees adapted to the local site and compatible with the program objectives and shall be supplied by NRCS to the tree planting contractor. The tree seedlings shall be planted at a rate of 302 trees per acre and will be planted in a random mix of trees specified for each field. Contractor will be responsible for accepting all tree seedlings provided by NRCS for each site and the Contractor shall be responsible for properly storing the seedlings until planted in accordance with the plans and specifications. The estimated value of each site is less than$25,000.00. Individual site showings will be conducted and the date, time, and location of the showing shall be provided in each packet. If the offer exceed $2,500.00, the applicable Service Contract Wage rates shall apply and the appropriate rates shall be provided with each individual packet. Offers are limited to small and very small business. Offers are due by close of business (4:30 p.m., local time) to address in each individual packet. NRCS will contact the sucessful offeror.
