Resling, 303/966-7764, Contracting Officer DESC: This is combined synopsis/Request for Quotation (RFQ) for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented, with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only request for quotation. Quotes are requested and a written request for quotation will not be issued. The U.S. Department of Energy, Rocky Flats Field Office is requesting quotations for the acquisition of a non-linear editor. The non-linear editor capabilities are as follows: it must allow source footage to be input to a hard disk. The editor must be able to process source footage from formats currently used at RFETS including VHS, 3/4 inch, and Betacam. Editing would be performed in the computer. Master copies would be made to VHS, 3/4 inch, and Betacam diectly from the hard drive, and all revisions would be done in the computer. This would keep the quality level to 1st generation master tape. The machine will allow RFFO to edit broadcast quality footage for the media. Specifications are as follows: Title Deko, Sound Forge XP 4.5, Premier 5.1 RT, PhotoShop 4.0, Truespace 2.0, Windows NT, Dual Pentium III 500 Mhz, 512 MD RAM, 54 GB Drive, Dual Monitor Driver, VTR control port, Roland Spaeker pair, Tape back up, (2) 20" High Resolution Multi Sync monitors. Training of 2 people at successful offerors headquarters shall be included. Items must be delivered FOB destination, integrated and installed. There are several provisions and clauses that apply to this acquisition. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, is applicable to this acquisition. Provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, is hereby incorporated with the following evaluation factors to be included in paragraph (a) technical capability of offered items to meet agency requirement, price, and past performance. Offerors must include with their offer a completed copy of provisions at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representation and Certifications-Commercial Items. The next clause is 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items. Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, shall also be incorporated in to the contract. The solicitation document provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Ciecular 99-13.
