The Electronic Combat Product Group at Robins AFB, Georgia (WR-ALC/LN) is searching for suppliers for a network of laboratory simulators to be used in testing software embedded in integrated airborne electronic combat (EC) systems. The network of laboratory simulators is collectively referred to as the Simulator Network (SIMNET). SIMNET is an architecture of networked simulators that operate individually and collectively to simultaneously generate coherent electromagnetic stimulus to EC systems installed in distributed laboratory test facilities. The stimulus shall include RF, microwave, video, and digital emitter signals; IR/UV/EO sensor signals, and avionics bus data. This is NOT a presolicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5, but is a Market Survey to identify existing sources of non-developmental electronic combat simulators. This notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this survey. A Simulator Capability Survey and a Sales History Survey are available on the web at http://pkec.robins.af.mil/rfp/99ecsna/99ecsna.htm. Only U. S. contractors/institutions with SECRET personnel and facility clearance will be eligible to receive any resultant solicitation.
