This is a modification to previous announcement on solicitation DAAE07-99-R-M050. The requirement for five (5) years with 100% option is changed to one (1) year plus four (4) years of option. Previous offer due date of 01 August 99 is changed to 17 August 99 at 12:00 noon. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The combined Synopsis/Request for Proposal (RFP) is DAAE07-99-R-M050. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46 dated 17 Mar 97. TACOM intends to negotiate with KVH Industries Incorporated, 50 Enterprise Center, Middletown RI 02840 for this Kit and components. The associated standard industrial classification code is 3795 with a sizestandard of 300 employees. The detailed requirement is for 1,387 each Tactical Navigation (TACNAV) Kit Systems including spares for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle System. The Components of the TACNAV are as follows: P/N 12386475-Tango Box Assembly, 12386472-Control Box Assembly, 13386474-Antenna Assembly, 12462637-Commander's Display, 12386473-Driver's Display and all Cables.
