Armstrong (970) 490-7216 or Amy Wright (970) 490-7523 The Western Area Power Administration has a requirement for a contractor to provide all the labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and other resources necessary to complete this project. The work includes but is not limited to removing existing conductor armor rod; installing government-furnished spiral wrap full tension conductor splices at all existing conductor suspension assemblies; reattaching repaired conductor to existing suspension clamps, removing existing vibration dampers; installing new government-furnished vibration dampers on the conductor and on the overhead ground wire; reattaching weights with new shackles at an existing structure; "as-built" Plan and Profile drawings. The line runs from Glendo Substation, six miles east of the Town of Glendo, in north central Platte County, Wyoming, to Podolak Substation, one mile west of the Town of Lusk and 0.25 miles north of US Highway 18, in Niobrara County, Wyoming. Work shall commence no later than 10 days after the Government issues a notice to proceed and shall be completed no later than November 30, 1999. The estimated order of magnitude of this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. The solicitation, specifications and drawings will be issued in hard copy FREE OF CHARGE. NOTE: In accordance with FAR 5.102-3, Western procurement officials will be limiting availability of this solicitation. Therefore, only a limited number of copies will be issued on a "first-come, first served" basis. There will be only one award made from this solicitation. This solicitation will be issued on or about July 15, 1999. The closing date is on or about August 17, 1999. This proposed procurement is 100% Small Business Set-Aside (See Note 1).
