The National Park Service, San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park, has identified a requirement to place the Historical Ferry Boat Eureka in drydock to repair the sea valves and hull, paint the hull, including the rudders, and clean the bottom. The construction cost range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The SELECTION CRITERION which represent factors and subfactors to evaluate offers are as follows: 1) Contractor's facility must have a drydock area large enough to accommodate the size of the Eureka, with crane services and protective covering; 2) Contractor must have knowledge of Historic Preservation of Wooden Ships in accordance with The Secretary of the Interior's "STANDARDS FOR HISTORIC VESSEL PRESERVATION PROJECTS", and 3) Contractor must have adequate personnel with specialized experience in wood ship repairs, to include a shipwright, crane operator and rigger, painter and sander, and a pipefitter and machinist. Contractor's past performance and experience will also be evaluated. Although price is not scored,it will also be evaluated.
