66 -- SPECTRUM ANALYZER DUE 071699 POC Verne Spearman, Project Leader, (256) 313-2939; e-mail Vern.Spearman@redstone.army.mil The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command, Product Manager for the Test Equipment Modernization Program (PM-TEMOD) is responsible for the acquisition of state-of-the-art, commercial/non-developmental general purpose test equipment. The new equipment will be used to standardize the inventory and replace existing obsolete test equipment. A draft specification has been developed for a high frequency Spectrum Analyzer. The Spectrum Analyzer will be portable and operate over the frequency range of 10 kHz to 18 GHz. A CRT display with measurement parameter readout and keypad entry for measurement parameter inputs. The spectrum Analyzer shall be capable of IEEE Std 488-1978 digital bus control and data transfer, digital storage, and marker-aided relative and absolute frequency and amplitude measurements of microwave and RF signals. A questionnaire will be developed to assist the Government in defining the final specification by providing information about the technical capabilities of available commercial/non-developmental Spectrum Analyzers. No decision has been made at this time as to the type of procurement, i.e., full and open competition versus small business set-aside.
