Project is located on the Clearwater Ranger District, Nez Perce National Forest, Idaho County, Idaho. Location of project is at Fish Creek Recreation Area approximately 7 miles south of Grangeville, Idaho via Idaho County Road 221 (Grangeville-Salmon Road). Project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and transportation necessary to install an underground potable water system in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Work includes constructing a 7 feet by 8 feet pump control building, including electrical service, outlets and fixtures; installing pressure tanks and all plumbing and appurtenances associated with the pump control building; removing an existing hand pump; installing a 3/4 HP submersible pump and pitless adapter in existing well and construct a concrete slab around the well, installing approximately 1865 feet of 1 and 1-1/4 inch PVC and galvanized buried water line, including excavation and backfill; installing 11valves in box assemblies, including excavation, backfill and associated pipe and fittings; installing 6 campground hydrants and a maintenance hydrant, including structures and plumbing. Estimated start work is September 7, 1999. Pre-bid meeting will begin on August 2, 1999 at the Clearwater Ranger District. The estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000.
