Z -- RELOCATION OF HISTORIC RAILROAD STATION SOL DACW33-99-T-0008 DUE 072999 POC Julie Mackley (978) 318-8413 The scope of this project is to relocate the Fort Fairfield Canadian Pacific Railroad Station located in downtown Fort Fairfield, Maine. The railroad station currently serves as a railroad museum and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Generally, the work will include, but not be limited to, preparation of the new site to receive the structure, design and construction of a foundation, removal of the wooden frame structure from its foundation without compromising the historical and structural integrity of the station, and transportation of the building to its intended new location. The work will be conducted by a professional contractor conversant with and qualified for moving historic structures. Existing utilities will be disconected, capped, and reconnected at the new site. It is anticipated that work shall be performed during August/September 1999. No cost for plans and specifications which will be available on or about 8 July 1999.
