ANALYTICAL SYSTEMS SUPPORT EFFORT STATEMENT In February 1999, the Defense Intelligence Agency/Missile and Space Intelligence Center (DIA/MSIC) released a Draft Statement of Work for an anticipated effort "Analytical Systems." This requirement was to provide MSIC with computer maintenance and broad analytical network support. It was the intent of the MSIC to release a formal RFP in late March or early April, with award of a contract late in calendar year 1999. Various circumstances and situations have changed or will occur that affect this requirement. The High Performance Computer System will be dramatically upgraded this fiscal year. MSIC will be moving and transitioning to new facilities this summer and fall, which affects the availability of technical evaluators. The new facilities will not be available for site visits until the first quarter of FY2000. With the advent of Y2K potential problems and events, MSIC does not want any change in contractor maintenance responsibilities until calendar year 2000. Based on the aforementioned, the ANALYTICAL SYSTEMS RFP will be delayed and is scheduled for release NLT the second week of January, 2000.
