Lease two new 1999 El Dorado National Aerotech Super Duty Diesel Powered Commercial Shuttle Buses, Model 240A or equal to the 89th Aerial Port Squadron (89th APS), Andrews AFB Maryland. Buses will be used to shuttle distinguished visitors, high-ranking Government officials and foreign heads of state, between the Andrews passenger terminal and departing/arriving aircraft. These buses will be visible to the world's media and must project the United States, Department of Defense and the Air Force in the best possible image. The words "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" shall be painted on both sides of the buses in 8" black roman letters, (thick and thin) along with other unique paint scheme and wording. Buses must provide seating for a minimum of 17 passengers. Buses must be manufactured in accordance with all State of Maryland, The United States Department of Transportation, Interstate Commerce Commission Regulations and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. A site visit is scheduled for 25 Feb 99 at 1400 hours. All interested parties will meet at the 89th Contracting Office. Offerors are encouraged to drive a sample bus to this site visit for viewing by the Contracting and 89th APS personnel. If a sample bus is not possible, please provide descriptive literature and a videotape of the interior and exterior of the bus to be offered. Location of parking for the sample buses will be the parking lot across the street from the Contracting Office, building 1419. The government will use the following criteria for evaluation: descriptive literature, past performance and price trade-off. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code is 7513. The size standard is $18.0 million. The performance period for this requirement is from 01 May 99 through 30 Sep 99 with two one-year options. This requirement is 100% set aside for small businesses.
