Fields (SEA 02231) 703/602-7517; Contract Specialist, The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to procure planning yard services in support of maintenance and repair of DDG 51 Class and FFG 7 Class ships on a sole source basis with Bath Iron Works Corporation (BIW), 700 Washington Street, Bath, Maine 04530. BIW, as the lead shipbuilder of DDG 51 Class and FFG 7 Class ships has the requisite familiarity and knowledge of individual DDG 51 and FFG 7 ship configurations as well as a detailed understanding of the construction techniques and practices used to build these ships. The proposed contract will consist of a base year plus four option years.
