The Defense Information Technology Contracting Office (DITCO) intends to issue, under full and open competition, a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the lease of one microwave link between Vandenberg AFB, CA and Pillar Point AFS, CA. Service provided shall be full time, providing one-way telemetry data from the demarcation point at Pillar Point AFS (PPAFS), Half-moon Bay, CA to the demarcation point at Vandenberg AFB (VAFB), CA and a full duplex T1 service via the same microwave system between the same two locations. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all personnel, facilities, equipment, material, supplies, support and management, and shall perform all functions necessary to perform site surveys, engineer, configure, condition, provision, install, test, operate, maintain, administer and secure all services to achieve/provide physical and electronic connectivity as set forth in the Statement of Work. The contract will be awarded to the responsive, responsible, technically acceptable offerorpresenting the lowest life cycle costs for implementing and maintaining over the life of the contract. It will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. The period of performance will be one year with nine (9) one year option periods.
