The GSA National Furniture Center has consolidated 12 of its Multiple Award Schedules for various types of Office Furniture into the new Schedule 71, Part I (Roman numeral one). This new schedule will replace the Following schedules, and the solicitations for those schedules will be canceled effective March 31, 1999: 71-X, Conference Room and Multi-purpose Tables, 71-I-E, Upholstered Furniture (Office Items), 71-II-C, Filing and Storage Systems, 71-II-D, Executive Office and Conference Room Furniture, 71-II-E, Systems Furniture, 71-III-C, Storage Cabinets for Forms and Flammable Liquids and Card Size Filing Cabinets (Steel) (Excluding SIN 487-1, Flammable Liquids Storage Cabinets), 71-III-H, Multipurpose Seating (Excluding SIN 497-2, Multiple Seating, and SIN 497-9, Bar Stools), 71-III-J, High Density Movable Filing Systems, 71-III-M, Partitions and Vertical Surface Panels, 71-III-N, ADP Furniture, 71-III-T, Display and Communication Boards, Wall Stations, and 71-III-Y, Drafting Chairs Only (SIN 628-1 only). Offers for the affected items under the old solicitations for those schedules will no longer be accepted after March 31, 1999. All offerors wishing to offer office furniture should offer under the new Schedule 71, Part I. There is no closing date for Solicitation 3FNO-M1-990001-B; offers for new contracts may be submitted at any time. A Special Item Number for New Items and for International Items is included in the solicitation. The contract period is five years from date of award, with an option to extend for another five years. All current contractors under the above schedules must fill out and submit this new solicitation. The current contracts are scheduled to be moved to the new schedule effective July 1, 1999. Current contractors will receive a letter with further instructions. The solicitation is available on the Internet at http://eps.arnet.gov as an Acrobat document. Interested parties who are unable to access the solicitation via the Internet may fax a request to 703-305-6786 or mail the request to the address above. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
