The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST) requires an all solid-state, diode-pumped frequency-doubled Nd:YV04 laser for pumping a femtosecond Ti:sapphire laser oscillator. The laser should have the following critical specifications: 1)Power should be greater than 8W; 2)Noise less than 0.1% rms (10Hz to 1 GHz); 3)Transverse mode: TEM00 (M less than 1.1)(i.e. single mode operation in lowest order mode); 4)Pointing Stability less than 5 urad/degrees Celsius; 5)Wavelength: 532 nm; 6)Beam Divergence less than 0.5 mrad; 7)Power Stability plus or minus 1%; 8)Polarization: vertical, greater than 100:1; 9)Linewidth less than 5 MHz single-mode. There is no formal RFQ. The award decision will be based upon the best value to the Government, with technical merit and past performance being significantly more important than price.
