The U S Postal Service, Facilities Service Office, Columbia MD 21045-0701, will issue Solicitation #232098-99-A-0019 on or about January 15, 1998 for an Indefinite Quantity Construction contract for Mechanical Repairs and Alterations. The contract resulting from this solicitation will include various mechanical repair and alteration type projects at postal leased and owned facilities in the geographical area of the Philadelphia District Area (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties). At the discretion of the Contracting Officer, one or more contracts may be awarded. Contractors must have a minimum of three (3) years experience as of the date of issue as a mechanical contractor. Contractors must also posses the capabilities of working at least three to five jobs at the same time. Specific Work Order/s will be issued by the Contracting Officer in accordance with the Unit Price Schedule and Specifications. One or more "Work Orders" will be issued totaling not less than $10,000 nor more than $250,000.00 during a two (2) year period contract. The initial limit of $250,000.00 may be increased by modification as agreed upon by the Contractor and the Contracting Officer up to the maximum of $3,000,000.00. The Postal Service guarantees no specific number of Work Order nor a specific amount. The contractor will not be required to perform work under any work order where the value of Work in any one building is less than $500.00. Offerors will be required to submit one (1) "Multiplier" to be applied to the various unit prices established in the "Unit Price Schedule". The Multiplier must contain the Offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. Offers are due by 4:00 pm on February 17, 1999. Plans and specifications will be available on or about January 15, 1999 at $45.00 per set, NON-REFUNDABLE, referencing Solicitation #232098-99-A-0019.
