The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, CA intends to solicit offers for a firm fixed price contract to sandblast and paint thirteen (13) elevated nonpowered causeway sections with inorganic zinc paint for Amphibious Construction Battalion (PHIBCB) One. The causeway sections will be hydroblasted and leak tested prior to delivery to the Contractor. The Government will transport the causeway sections to and from the Contractor's work place by water if the successful contractor is within 10 nautical miles. Once the causeway sections are transported to the Contractor's workplace it is the contractor's responsibility to remove the causeway sections from the water. After completion of work the Contractor will be responsible for placing the sections in the water to transport back to PHIBCB. The causeway sections shall be complete and ready to use 100 calendar days after award. The estimated weight of each section are 67-77 tons. Dimensions are 90 ft. long and 21 ft. wide.
