Pickett, VA. The alteration includes renovation of the existing 11,882 SF Army Reserve Center, and providing a new one-story addition of 24,467 SF. The proposed addition will be constructed of reinforced concrete foundations, concrete floor slabs, structural steel frames, and masonry veneer walls, and a modified bitumunous roof. The addition will provide storage space, administrative space, classroom space, special training space, weapons vault, equipment loading access, restrooms, mechanical, electrical, and telephone space for the Army Reserve Units. The project includes all aspects of construction, namely: Architectural, Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection, Communications, and Security. New parking lot will accommodate 57 spaces. The project contains a small amount of asbestos removal. A pre-engineered unheated storage building for storage of non-perishable military equipment will be an option to the contract . The project documents will be available on compact disk (CD) only. Project specification files are in portable document format(pdf), and can be viewed, navigated, or printed using Sourceview. Both software are available on the compact disk.
