PARTNERING FOR THE MILLENNIUM CONFERENCE AT THE TACOMA DOME, TACOMA, WA MARCH 10 & 11 99 Fifteen State and Federal (Department of Defense and Civilian) Agencies have combined to provide training and purchasing opportunities for small business owners. "Partnering for the Millennium" will take place at the Tacoma Dome, Tacoma Washington, March 10 and 11, 1999. This unprecedented cooperative effort is designed to provide small businesses with the tools and opportunities to do business with a multitude of government agencies and large purchasers. The significance of this event is that Federal Agencies and State agencies have come together to provide one single, "multi-agency" event. The format for "Partnering for the Millennium" provides for a full day of comprehensive training and seminars on March 10th. The second day will consist of a few specialized seminars and the trade-show. The 110 exhibitors will consist of local, State and Federal Agencies, prime contractors, other major purchasers from the area and agencies that provide services to small businesses. The "Cyber Garden" will be open on the second day, March 11, for individuals to view a variety of web sites relating to purchasing opportunities, and ask individual questions about doing business electronically.
