L -- AIRCRAFT TECHNICAL SOFTWARE SUPPORT SERVICES SOL Cs-99-021 POC Sharon Lim, Contracting Officer, 202-927-4914 The U.S. Customs Service intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Systems, 86 S. Cobb Dr., Marietta, GA for the provision of technical software support services on a time-and-materials basis, in support of the Customs Service fleet of P-3 AEW and P-3 Slick aircraft. Services to be provided include, but are not limited to, software engineering services and general engineering services in support of particular aircraft systems and equipment. It should be noted that the basic AEW aircraft software coding is not owned by the U.S. Customs Service and is therefore not available. Services will also include creation and maintenance of aircrew mission system operator manuals and checklists. On-site support at the Naval Air Station (NAS) in Corpus Christi, TX and at the NAS in Jacksonville, FL will periodically be required for short periods throughout the year. Period of performance is October 1, 1999 through September 30, 2000 with options to extend the term of the contract for up to four additional fiscal years. Interested offerors must submit sufficiently detailed information regarding their technical ability and approach in satisfying this requirement to the U.S. Customs Service within thirty days of the date of this announcement to allow the U.S. Customs Service to assess their capabilities.
