CURBELO (787) 273-3323 (Site Code DAJN02) The US Army requires the services of a professional social worker as authorized by FAR 37.401. This individual shall act as an independent contractor. The Government may evaluate the quality of pofessional and administrative services, but will retain no control over the professional judgments rendered. Solicitation calls for a firm, fixed-price commercial item contract with a base period of 4/1/99 through 9/30/99 and three option periods totaling another 30 months. Individuals proposed to provide this service must have a Masters degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from a properly accredited educational institution and at least ten years experience in group therapy work either as group leader or co- leader. Additional requirements include: (1) fully bilingual English/Spanish; (2) two years experience in child abuse assessment and treatment; (3) two years experience in spouse abuse assessment and treatment; (4) experience in program administration including standardized records management and quality improvement; and, (5) other requirements stated in the solicitation. Offerors will be required to provide a resume showing applicable work experience, copies of degrees and transcripts, proof of licensure in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and letters from the last two employers describing dutines performed and quality of performance.
