CLIN#0001: Description-Blood Gas Analyzer, Unit of Issue-Each, Quantity-One(1). CLIN#0002: Shipping to Natick, MA 01760. Background: Needed to replace outdated equipment; current equipment is in constant need of repair and new instrument will support the research protocols of three USARIEM research divisions. This instrument is designed to provide critical information on the physiological responses to environmental extremes and exercise performance and therefore supports closely the mission of this institute. Requirements: Fully automated pH/blood gas/electrolyte/Hct/lactate analyzer. Must require a sample size of 150 microliter or less, analyze blood or cerebrospinal or other fluid from animal and human patients for pH, blood gases, electrolytes, hematocrit, and lactate. Must have: aspiration and injection modes, and micromode for capillary samples; user-entered P50 for various animal species; interface capabilities with osm-3 Co-Oximeter with 10 Animal species modes; Sodium Formate open liquid junction; interference free Lactate; interference free Hematocrit measured by conductivity; 35m/l Lactate only Microsample.
