58 -- DISPOSABLE, TACTICAL SECURITY SENSORS SOL DCDMPS-0314-0001 POC Contract Specialist Ella M. Chapman (256) 848-4424 (Site Code DABT02) This is a sources sought synopsis for information on the availability of an unattended, remotely or hand-employed, all-weather (high-heat/cold weather), all-terrain, self-activating, remotely monitored, self-orienting, tactial security sensor. The sensor shall be able to detect and digitally report its location in military grid coordinate format and time, date, and detection type, (i.e. large or small tracked vehicle; large or small wheeled vehicle or dismounted troops) of a detected motion. The sensor shall be able to detect up to 200 meters in radius, attritable and possess a reporting range radius of 10 kilometers. Additionally, information is sought on the availability of consumable sensors conforming to the aforementioned criteria that can be remotely employed by any existing U. S. Army Military Police weapons platform (i.e., 7.62, M60 Machine Gun, 40 Millimeter MK-19 Automatic Grenade Launcher, 40 Millimeter M-203 Grenade Launcher, 5.56 Millimeter M-16A2 Rifle or the 5.56 Millimeter M249 Automatic Weapon. Firms having the capability of meeting the above requirements are invited to respond to this sources sought. Responses shall be limited to a maximum of 10 pages (excluding brochures) and shall be submitted to the Directorate of Contracting, ATZN-DC, Building 241C, Fort McClellan, AL 36205-5000.
