The Department of Energy/Nevada (DOE/NV) at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) is requesting sellers of wireless/cellular communications systems to provide cell like telephone coverage of three population centers at the NTS at no cost to the government. Airtime cost of the installed system will be negotiable. Coverage of these centers can be accomplished from three locations on the NTS as identified in drawing labeled figure #1 (please call or email Loni Benard and provide name, company name, and fax number for copy of drawing). In addition to the standard wireless/cellular coverage, the DOE/NV would require: (1) Interconnectivity into the DOE/NV Host telephone switch, (2) Agreements between the seller and other carriers of like wireless/cellular services, foregoing any roaming charges associated with DOE/NV identified cell telphones whether the cell call originates in Las Vegas or the NTS, and (3) Seamless continuous telephne coverage from the NTS to Las Vegas along Highway 95.
