The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) intends to place an order with Stratus Computer for hardware and software maintenance on two(2) Stratus RISC Processor Systems; EP and EP1 for fiscal year 1999. (October 1, 1998 thru September 30, 1999). This hardware is a proprietary product of Stratus, which means only Stratus can perform maintenance and have parts available if needed to fix any problems that might occur. This procurement action is for hardware and software maintenance in which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302 and 13.106-1.
