The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD has a sole source requirement for the production of the following Rockwell-Collins, Inc. AN/ARC-182(V) support equipment: (15) each SA-2498 Switching Unit, NSN 5821-01-215-3450; and (12) each MT-4934 Mount, NSN 5975-01-081-0202. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy the agency requirements. Rockwell International, Collins Avionics and Communications Division is the sole designer, developer and currently the only qualified manufacturer of the AN/ARC-182 (V) Switching Units and as such has the requisite knowledge to fulfill the requirement. Therefore, this acquisition shall be negotiated on a sole source basis with Rockwell International, Collins Avionics and Communications Division, 350 Collins Road N.E., Cedar Rapids, IA 52498. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price type contract will be awarded with delivery to take place nine months from time of award. Final product will be shipped to Bell Helicopter, Fort Worth, Texas. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
