Revision: This action announces the amendment to the Chicago Metropolitan Area Acqusition (CH MAA), Solicitation No. TQD-CH-98-1002, originally publicized in the CBD dated April 9, 1998. The amendment to this RFP to be issued on or about November 5, 1998, states a change will be made from single award to multiple awards for the CH MAA contract. The amendment will also update the service ordering process to reflect the potential multiple vendors environment, including the fair consideration process as defined by FAR Part 16.505; and changes all appropriate terms and conditions relative to this amendment. In light of the change from a single award to a preference for multiple awards in this MAA city, the Government will consider extending the closing date for receipt of proposals from potential new offerors. Interested offerors must notify the Contracting Officer of their interest in participating in this RFP within two (2) weeks from the release date of this notice. Interested parties are reminded that all offerors must satisfy both the Request for Qualification Statements (RQS) and the city-specific RFP requirements for award consideration. The Government is not changing the overall comprehensive technical and geographic coverage requirements in the RQS and the city-specific RFP. The Government intends to set the closing date for receipt of revised proposals for the NY MAA to be two (2) weeks after the release of the RFP Amendment. Instructions for submitting revised proposals by existing offerors will be provided in the Amendment.
