The government is contemplating the acquistion of a magnetic lock access control system for four buildings on Brooks AFB, Texas. The access shall be controlled using magnetic stripe encoded cards. The system must include a personal computer capable of providing real time display of all system events and archiving all events in a history file on the hard drive. The system shall be capable of CCTV control, accomplished by interfacing the two system processors using RS-232 protocol. It must also be capable of populating an access system cardholder database from the owners existing Mircrosoft Access employee database through ASCII text conversion. The manufacturer must be a company which specializes in manufacturing the products specified above with a minimum fifteen years documented experience and with an authorized servicing agency within 25 miles of the project. The installer must specialize in installing the products specified above with a minimum three years experience. A maintenance service agreementfor the system is required for one year from the date of substantial completion. A manufacturers warranty is also required covering the manufacturers equipment for a period of one year from the date of substantial completion. Note 1 applies.
