The Volpe Center plans to procure through Simplified Acquisition procedures a sole source from Factura Corporation, Rochester, NY to provide INSPASS Kiosk housing. There are over 80,000 persons enrolled in INSPASS, the contractor will be required to provide a kiosk that has the same orientation of the components and the operation of the system as those Kiosk s located elsewhere. Small Business firms classified under SIC Code 2452 that are interested in proposing must demonstrate in writing that they can provide a kiosk that can demonstrate the following requirements: 1. The Kiosk shall be self-standing, with a two-sided illuminated sign with the INSPASS logo. Sign shall be supported above the kiosk by columns covered with brushed aluminum cylinders. 2. Accommodate a 17 inch Touchscre en monitor, dip style card reader with status panel, RSI Hand Geometry reader, and 5 inch Telpar printer. 3. Kiosk must incorporate slider drawer for printer servicing, an provide easy access to the maintenance side of the other components. 4. Component mask must be steel or thick gauge aluminum with blue enamel paint for durability, be key locked and hinged to enable easy cleaning of components. 5. Design must provide sufficient space beneath the components to house a computer and power supply, and allow for fastening to concrete floors. Small Business firms are required to submit documentation in support of the above, for review, prior to receiving a solicitation. Documentation must be submitted within 15 days of publication of this notice. This proposed action is for services f or which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
