Z -- ASBESTOS ABATEMENT SOL DABT19-98-Q-0047 DUE 092898 POC Contract Specialist Debbie Smith (913) 684-1630 (Site Code DABT19) Work includes but is not limited to: Remove damaged asbestos pipe insulation from 25 separate locations in building 111, at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and reinsulate the pipes. The damaged insulation covers piping located on 24 pairs of branch lines (supply and return), servicing air conditioning equipment in 24 classrooms. The lines rum between the mains and the air conditioning equipment, across maintenance catwalks in the service space above the ceiling. Access to the catwalks is via permanent ladders. All insulation on the branch lines between the mains and the air conditioning equipment shall be removed and replaced. The last location is a riser pipe located in room 213A in the administrative wing of the building. The work shall be accomplished using the glove bag method. Adjacent rooms will remain occupied during the work. The contractor shall be responsible for disposal of all waste material. All work including clearances shall be done in accordance with OSHA, EPA and KDHE regulations. All work shall be completed within 45 days after notice to proceed. This project is Subject to the Availability of Funds; acceptance period shall be 60 calendar days. This will be a firm fixed-price contract. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. This project is unrestricted. The standard industrial code for this acquisition is 1799. The size standard for a small business concern, including its affiliates, is average sales or receipts for the three preceding fiscal years, not to exceed $7 million.
